MacBook won't boot. Black Screen

Try reseating the memory... My MBP occasionally (and ALWAYS at the wrong time) will not boot. Not sure if you did this when you opened it up but it's worth a shot... Make suer you only do one thing at a time so you can track down the cause of the problem... I would then reconnect the HDD, and every other component one by one...

Dew guy, thanks for that article. I really doubt it's the power supply, because the unit is getting constant power. But who knows? It tries to boot from the DVD that's stuck in it for quite a while and then I hear the hard drive spinning and it stays on indefinitely, with sleep light constant. I took out the ram yesterday, and although it does not beep or make a warning sound, the sleep light flashes, which indicates there is no ram inside. I've tried all the various combinations of ram in switching slots, one slot empty, new ram, etc...
