4-Bay External HD Bootable RAID Enclosure

It looks like THIS Addionics PM (Port Multiplier)
will create an external RAID Enclosure that is
bootable via eSTATA or USB even when using
it as a RAID box that holds 2 or 4 Hard drives.
HERE'S the enclosure. HERE are the RAID types
supported: RAID 5+S, RAID 3, RAID 0 w/2 Drives Striped,
RAID 0 w/4 Drives Striped, RAID 1 w/2 Drives, BIG2 w/
2 Drive Concatenation, BIG4 w/ 4 Drives Concatenation
and my favorite RAID 10 (Mirrored-Striped).

And last but not least, an inexpensive
eSATA to USB 3 adapter.

The enclosure with PM is under $200 (USA) and
with the eSATA to USB 3 adapter its a little over
$200 total. Looks like affordable and somewhat
future proof.
