Yeah I am still researching what to stack under a 2010 mini. here is an new option.
A pair of these
http://www.sansdigital.com/towerstor/ts2ct.html
spaced a bit apart would be the correct width and a bit deeper then a new mini.
they could daisychain from the fw800. use a pair of these fw800 cables. for a tight fw800 fit
http://www.lindy-usa.com/03m-premium-firewire-800-cable-9-pin-beta-male-to-9-pin-beta-male/30754.html
they would give you huge storage options. they would be fast. I have 4 of them they are very stable. very stable.
you could have up to 8tb storage and the hdd in the mini so 8tb plus
a lower cost option is a pair of these
http://www.sansdigital.com/towerstor/ts1ct.html
side by side use the better fw800 cables to daisy chain.
this is a close look. has the advantage of 2 enclosures so 1 hdd could fail and not the other. _________________ 2010 Mm 2.4 C2D oem 320gb hdd 8gb ram

yeah it is a problem. the new mini is a nice piece of art. the only enclosure that stacks under it is white plastic with only a usb2 connection. did you look at the glyph unit from bhphoto it is built like a tank looks pretty good. _________________ 2010 Mm 2.4 C2D oem 320gb hdd 8gb ram

Yeah, I saw the glyph one.
I wonder if any company are going to make one that matches it.. It requires special equipment, but it should be doable. |
