Apple has released version 2.0 of their popular Remote application for iPod touch, iPhone and iPad users. According to the company, this version of the application is optimized for Retina displays and larger screen real estate on the iPad. It also brings bug fixes and support for iTunes 10, Shared Libraries on iTunes, and the new Apple TV.

Excellent, I'd been hoping Apple would get around to updating this for the iPad _________________ Phil

| I know about time!!!! I'm not complaining but I wish they would add the radio stations as well, but I can put them as a play list. Still stoked! |

I'm glad they got around to updating the app. The iPad version just kicks it. _________________ 1.42GHz Mac mini

| Cool but I wish you could stream to your iPad. Radio stations would be cool as well. |

I would like to have seen the iPad being capable of streaming the content as well. I'd mainly just use it as temporary remote speaker. I'd really like to be able to use the remote app to say start a podcast playing on my iMac, but later if I need to move rooms I could just enable local output and pick up the iPad and continue listening. I do this all the time when listening to a podcast and deciding to make some dinner or just pop the kettle on for a drink, it would be great to take the iPad with me rather than having to turn the speakers up to full blast and upset the reset of the family just so I can hear it from the kitchen _________________ Phil
