Okay here goes I have boycotted windows of more then ten years on any in home computers all mac. well bing is back and they got smart they require internet explorer 7 or higher to get the program. since I did so well using bing and live dot com. I have decided to pick up some kind of in home windows for mac. Okay I have 2 mac minis ,1 iMac ,and the new mac pro. I can sign up each computer as a stand alone rewards earner. since the mac pro is the fastest and the mac mini is the cheapest i will use one or the other. the old dog has to learn a few new tricks. do i just buy a windows for mac and load it.
these are costly do they work well on a mac pro
http://www.microsoft.com/australia/office/mac/virtualpc7/editions.aspx
this is lower cost
http://www.parallels.com/landingpage/dskd63-5/?source=g_us&gclid=CLGhuuOznqQCFQo65Qodx15rGw
I really just need to pass the bing requirements
bing
considering i got thousands back from bing cashback without ever using windows I can see why they did this. I am willing to give window virtual or parallels to do this. especially since that new windows only mini is out. I can learn windows over if i have to. _________________ 2010 Mm 2.4 C2D oem 320gb hdd 8gb ram

Does Parallels include a version of Windows? If so, that price is really good.
You can get Win7 at Frys for about $100 for the OEM versions. I picked up Win7 Pro for something like $110 on sale, but Win7 Home is about $115 I think.
Then you could use Virtual Box for running it.

I JUST signed for a parallels trial i don't think it gives windows at all even if you pay the 80 bucks.
so you are running win7 pro with virtual box.. your cost was 110 for win7 plus ? for virtual box or is virtual box free. _________________ 2010 Mm 2.4 C2D oem 320gb hdd 8gb ram

No, I picked up the 32 bit version, but Frys sells the OEM 64 bit or 32 bit version for the same price. The two differences between retail and OEM is that you have to pick 32 or 64 bit for OEM but retail includes both, and that retail gets support from MS and OEM doesn't.
I use Win7 on my peecee. Or I do, until I can get it Hackintoshed. I was surprised at how different Handbrake is in Windows compared to OS X.

No, I did not get Home, I bought the OEM 32bit Professional version.
I picked 32 bit since there are still some compatibility issues for the 64 bit version of Windows.
Also, if you are going to do this on multiple computers at the same time, you should consider the 3 pack, since Windows uses a registration/serial number protection scheme.

Philip,
Before you go about spending money on win7, did you try spoofing you user agent and accessing the bing site? Sometimes this works, sometimes it doesn't.
"While in Safari, select Preferences from the Safari menu. Now,
click the Advanced button at the top right of the Preferences
window, and check "Show Develop menu in menu bar." Close the
Preferences window, and notice the new Develop menu on top of
your screen. In the Develop menu is the User Agent sub-menu.
From the sub-menu, select Internet Explorer 7.0. Once this is
done, the web sites you visit will think you're using Explorer" _________________ MacMini 2.0GHz C2D (2009)

Another option from the wayback machine might be to try Darwine, and then try an get IE 7 going from there.
