Hi to everybody here! I´ve got this hub, that looks great, but I can´t find my external HD when I connect them, got 2 seagates, no problem with these two, but my western digital and also a new freeagent go flex (seagate) is no way i can´t reach them from the hub and got to plug them in the mac- mini, what is a real pain.... with my portable HD(go flex seagate) because I usually take it with my laptop, Macbook. if anyone could help me out, I tried to find a new firmware but didn´t get any solution.
Thank you again in advance! |

Isn't it effectively two SEPARATE hubs on one box? (one USB, one FW) so you need to connect up BOTH the USB and FW cables to the mini? You've tried that, right? _________________ Martin at HeadSpin HD now on Blu-ray |

yes he needs to hook the little fw and the usb cables up. what happens is you get lousy stability as the hub is powered via the mini not a wallwart. dropouts are common. _________________ 2010 Mm 2.4 C2D oem 320gb hdd 8gb ram

I too have the Belkin USB/Firewire Hub. Like Phil says, it stinks! I used it for 2 months. I hated it. No Power Light unless you look in the hole of the unit. I discovered the Green Light in there after using it for a month. So I guess it was getting Power. Worked much worse than my original idea of Daisy Chaining. Now it sits in an old shoe Box with other Peripherals I no Longer use. _________________ iMac 27" 3.06 8GB ATI 4670 1TB HD
