I want to put a bunch of cd's that I have on an external hard drive.
Do I need to put osx on the external, is it a good idea?
Should I partion the hard drive so that the OSX is seperate?
I will be using a fw 800 enclosure does it make a difference if I use 5400 speed or 7200 speed?
Is there any advantage using 3.5 disc vers 2.5 ?

There is no need to have OSX on the external for itunes storage. You just need to tell iTunes where the media is located. As far as streaming music via FW800, 5400RPM will be just fine. For my music drives I buy the largest I can afford at the time, it seems they always get full at some point. _________________ MacMini 2.0GHz C2D (2009)
