Hi
I run EyeTV 3.4(6145) on my 3 years old Mac mini and everything is fine.
Now, I intend to buy one of these brand new IMac (i3 3.06GHz). and I have a few questions. First, would this IMac be able to handle 2 Hauppauge HVR-950 TV tuners ? Then, supposing it does, since there would be only one EyeTV archive, what would happen if two different shows were scheduled at the same time, on different channels ?
On the other hand, supposing the IMac can not for some reason, support 2 TV tuners how about if I used one with the IMac and the second one with the Mac mini ? With two different TV tuners on two different computers, how would it work with only one EyeTv archive ? How would it be possible to ascertain that program X is recorded on the IMac while program Y is recorded on the Mac mini, at the exact same time, on different channels ?
thanks for taking the time to answer my questions _________________ iMac 2010, 21.5", 8Gb of RAM

thanks | 1. YES though you won't be doing much else that is processor intensive
2. Not a problem, the only fly in the ointment is, you cant pick which tuner records which show if used on one platform
3. You would just need to point the EyeTV App. too where your archive is located within its Preferences, it shouldn't conflict
4. Give each tuner its own signal then set the channel you want each to record (I'am assuming you have CableTV)
Take a look at the SiliconeDust HDHomeRun-Dual.
It might be more what your looking for.
Its for North America. _________________ 2011 Mac mini 2.7 GHz i7 with
