|
|
Hello, I'm new to this site and need some advice. I've been a long time Mac user since 1984 and currently have a unibody 2.4 macbook. Looking to replace a old pc with a Mac mini, just not sure which one to get. The new mini would be used for surfing, email, itunes etc. pretty basic stuff. Been watching the refurb page daily. I do have a budget of no more than $750 and I am eligible for the educational discount.
Thanks for any thoughts or comments! |

Well, the 2.4GHz unibody Mini has a similar spec to your MacBook -- so if your MacBook is a good match for your needs, then the Mini probably will be as well! _________________ Intel Mini 2.0GHz C2D (4GB/120GB/SuperDrive/10.5.8 ), 120GB WD Passport, Logitech ergo k/b

Just got one of these myself - Is the FW800 external going to be a faster option than the standard internal disk?
Thanks |

| Yes i have been checking hourly for the 2.53ghz refurb non server at 589, they have a server version that has been there for several days. Nice thing about the 2.53 is the 4 gb ram. Yes I already have a fw800 ext drive, so that would be nice. Still keep looking at that new one though.. Guess either one would suit my needs fine |

| Received my 2010 2.4 mini yesterday and it's everything I expected! Using an Apple keyboard and a Viewsonic 22 inch monitor with it. The mini is dead silient, built like a tank and fast enough for me. Love it so far! |
