I have the MM server version with Snow Lepard 10.6 OS X
Was given to e a present and sowly getting it into a HTPC for the home. I know the unit is a server and understand why when certain things require setting it throws up the login and password box but in my application it is becoming a PITA.
I don't have security or restricted access issue here and would like not to be asked to continually throw in login and password.
Is there a server guru here that can guide me through turning this off???
Thanks and regards,
Fleetz |

Go to Apple Menu: System Preferences
Personal: Security
Uncheck "Disable automatic login"
Enter your password (hopefully for the last time!) _________________ Martin at HeadSpin HD now on Blu-ray |

For the server enabling automatic login has mixed results. Once the user begins utilizing any of the server services (firewall, etc) , automatic login may be enabled but is overridden.
I haven't found which service or setting in particular triggers this, but I need what I currently have enabled, so I live with logging in when the server restarts. _________________ 2.0 GHz i7 Mini 8 GB RAM, OWC Merc Extreme SSD & Samsung Spinpoint
