Im interesting in getting a 2010 mini mac with server.
BUT I have a mini mac 10.4.11 with photoshop, lightroom,etc. (Actions,history, etc)
I know that I can't transfer from 10.4.11 to Snow Leopard, Do I HAVE TO upgrade the Snow Leopard onto my OLD Mini Mac 10.4.11 and then get Firewire Cable to trasfer my Applications such as Photoshop and Lightroom over no problem?
It would be a pain in the a** to do all over again with those install adobe,etc!
Hope theres something to make my life abit easy!

for a while the way to change from tiger to snow was as follows.
1) clone the disc with superduper as a backup
2)put the clone in the mini keep the original hdd on the side
3)check that the clone is good run your special programs
4)if all is good pop a snow leopard upgrade disk in the mini and run the upgrade
5) check if it worked
6) transfer it to the new mini via firewire.
the above method is the safest way to do it. it is slower. now this worked for me last year with 3 or 4 machines. Your tiger install is newer then mine I had 10.4.10 I don't know if it will work for you. some people have had problems this year with upgrading tiger to snow. One thing about the above method it is safe because you do not f with the original hdd.

I have a SuperDuper.
Is that the right thing to do..
Copy Macintosh HD to Backup
using : Sandbox
it will appear in Backup
Applications, Boot, Library, System,etc!
Hope this would do!!?

Why does there have to be an upgrade done? Why not plug the old mini into the new mini and use migration assistant?

Ditto this question.
Or take the opportunity to migrate only your documents and reload the applications via CD/DVD and start off fresh.
