Anyone else using it yet? For me so far I have no real use for some of the enhancements, the wallpaper is cool, otherwise I don't notice much different in performance. _________________ "You must control your future by taking command of your present, and fixing and learning from your past."

I'm using it on my 3G. I have it jailbroke and unlocked. Wallpapers enabled and multitask is on. (Jobs said it wouldn't work on the 3G) Folders is cool, notes sync I haven't figured out yet, other than that I don't see too much else going on with it. _________________ MacMini 2.0GHz C2D (2009)

Yesterday was so crazy I completely forgot about it...
I'll download and install it this evening. Can't wait to be able to listen to pandora and respond to a text or e-mail. _________________ --Marcus

I also have it jailbroken on my 3g and find it a little sluggish. How are you finding it? _________________ MacBook 1.83Ghz C2D, 2GB Ram, 160GB 7200rpm HDD, OS X 10.6.5

| I've upgraded my 3GS. The two things I like are folders and multitasking. Especially now that I can use Pandora and GPS driving directions. Tried it out on the way to the pediatrician, even though I know how to get there, just to test it. Works great. Just wish Pandora would either pause or quiet down. But my GPS app can boost it's volume, so it at least works. |

Meh, not that impressed. Seems like the updates are stuff that should have already been in/on the phone as "advanced" as Apple (or maybe just people in general) thinks they are...
Also, every app I open stays running? So, I've got to pop up that "task" menu and close whatever program I'm in every time?
You'd think they would have the option to auto-exit or not auto-exit. The only thing I needed to be able to run in the background (that I can think of) is Pandora. So to be able to do that, now every other app I open is going to run in the background until I exit it? _________________ --Marcus

I don't know exactly how it works, but I don't believe it is 'running' in the background unless it is specifically doing so, such as with Pandora. For example, my GPS will reset to the home screen when I return to it, if I'm not using it actively to navigate.
Overall, I think the whole system is slightly slower, noticeable, but not frustrating (yet). |

It is a little sluggish. Get the app Remove Recents from the BigBoss beta repo. It removes apps that aren't running from the task switcher. _________________ MacMini 2.0GHz C2D (2009)

I have removed the multitask and wallpaper background crap. It was getting a little too sluggish running out of RAM. iOS 4 is snappy now on my 3G. _________________ MacMini 2.0GHz C2D (2009)
