If you DL the Parallels demo, and subscribe to their news letter, shortly after the demo expires, you start receiving deals from the company. Right now they are offering me $20 off, which is pretty good. If you can get it from a military store like the NEX, it's tax free and about $10 dollars under retail, which is actually cheaper. But I thought I'd mention this for people who don't have that access.

I've given up on running a virtual Windows XP using Parallels or Fusion on the Mac Mini and have gone back to two separate computers for separate things. I bought an Acer Aspire TimelineX 1830T for $699 and am moving all my PC stuff off the Mac Mini and onto the 11.6 inch Acer, which has an i5 processor. I found the vm on the Mac Mini to be too prone to lock-up with the Parallels VM engine red lining at 100% CPU usage, locking up everything on the Windows side. Even though I got it to work, I don't trust it. So I'm going back to using two computers instead of trying to make the Mac Mini do both. The Acer is for heavy Visual Studio programming with lots of Analysis and math crunching, while the Mac Mini is my video library and entertainment machine.
