I just grabbed a ds110j from newegg seems to work nice this is the first one I ever used now all 3 computers can share the ds110j drive.

it was slow to setup but I can access it and read and write on it from all 3 computers. I was able to load all my tv shows for the last few weeks 240gb worth I can now watch them from any of the 3 computers. It looks like I can hang up to 3 usb drives to it . I have a 2 tb in it now.
If I hang 3 usb setups to it. I would have a big nas setup for tv and music on the cheap.

Details on how everything
is setup.
How is it attached to your router?
What brand router?
How easy was it to setup?
Do High Def. EyeTV captures
play without any problems?
Am I missing anything?
Its gotten really great reviews.
Whats YOUR opinion?
I almost forgot, do you NEED a PC
to set it up?

I am running around like crazy and this needs a long answer.
Short answer I got it to work. My 2 mini's and my imac can all access it. I can go to it and I can pull an eyetv recording off it so I can watch a recording on all 3 computers.
It has a quirk that i have caused I have a lot of clones if you have the two minis running off the same clones it f's up. I need to do some more clean up. It uses a 2tb samsung hdd with no problems

I set it up with out a pc. I need to figure out how to hang my 4 drive owc elite-al pro qx2 to it.

in theory I can hang 2 usb drives to it one of the 4bays is a 4tb single volume in a raid stripe the other is a 6tb single volume in a raid 5.. if i can get this to work all my storage problems will be pretty good. just speed issues. I don't think the speed problems will ever end but that is just me.
