Hello All,

I am currently running 10.4.3 and I looking for an external dvd burner. What are some that have really stood out that are compatible with OS X?

The one I am looking at is:

I'm not sure that I understand your question, but the drive you linked to is compatible with OS X.

I have an Imac g5 with a combo drive. I would like to burn dvds, therfore I would like to invest in a nice external dvd/cd burner. What are some good external dvd burners that are worth looking at that are compatible with Mac OS X?

I hope that makes sense

That's cool! Very Happy

The Sony you're looking at looks pretty nice. I would check out the LaCie d2 16X with LightScribe and Toast 7. You can also buy it (hold the toast) without Toast 7 and save around 50 bucks. You can get both models on Amazon and Newegg for less than buying them direct from LaCie. Plextor makes a drive called the PX-716UF that gets some good reviews, but it doesn't include Toast 7 or LightScribe. It costs more than the LaCie d2 and the Sony you're looking at. I'd probably stick with LaCie or Sony. Hope that helps some!
