iPad Wi-Fi + 3G Models to be Available in US on April 30th

Apple today announced that the Wi-Fi + 3G models of its iPad will be delivered to US customers who have pre-ordered on Friday, April 30th, and will be available in Apple retail stores the same day starting at 5:00 p.m. Apple retail stores will also be hosting special iPad workshops and offering a free Personal Setup service to every customer who buys an iPad at the store, helping them customize their new iPad by setting up their email, loading their favorite apps from the App Store, and more.

I can't wait to get one again. I liked my Wi-Fi model so much that I returned it and ordered a 3G model.

I guess they really meant late April 
...but at least we have a set date now
I've been so tempted to just buy a 16GB WiFi model, and sell it on Ebay or something when I get my 3G model; but with about a week to go, I'll just be patient.
Now I just need to decide if I depend on FedEx (normally used by Apple) or if I cancel my order and spend Friday lining up in front of the Apple Store and running the risk of getting mugged (There's lots of theft stories on the WiFi version - like the man that got his pinky finger stolen with the iPad in CO; and it happens to be the closest APple store to me) |
