I have a Mac Mini with OSX 10.5.8 ( Leopard ).
I have a Netgear WNR2000 802.11n Router.
I have a Ralink RT2870 USB 802.11n adaptor.
By following advice on a few forums I have quite easily configured this setup to connect and work ( Turn off Airport, Remove/Replace USB adapter after initial restart driven by Ralink driver installation, Configure USB Adapter).
I am, however, still only seeing connection at 54Mbps and not the near 300Mbps I should see with 802.11n.
I also did nor see any WPS prompts when I first configured the adapter and conencted.
I am pretty sure I am only connecting at 802.11g.
Does anybody have any info on how I can force 802.11n in this scenario and/or how I can confirm for sure if I am using 802.11g as I suspect.
Thanks in advance.

| Are you sure that you don't have other 802.11g/b devices connected? That would bring it down as well. I'm not sure about the Netgear or Ralink components, but I'm sure you can force your router to an 802.11n only mode. It's probably in the configuration panel through your browser. |
