Data Robotics today announced the release of their new Drobo FS network-attached storage solution. According to the company, the Drobo FS is a perfect solution for any connected home, home office, or small office environment needing a simple, safe device for sharing and backing up files over the network. And like all Drobo storage products, Drobo FS provides redundant data protection without the complexities of RAID. Sounds cool, but I think that could have done a little better on the pricing. That's a little steep for a barebones.

I still have not owed a Drobo yet but want one some day soon. They are rather costly though.

Scott from the MacBreak Weekly podcast uses one of his to boot from. He owns 20+.

I don't like drobo for other reasons, but what nas solution that holds 5 2tb drives is under 400? I am using 4 drive owc mercury quads as raids and I like them they are 319 empty and are very fast but they are not nas.

I use the fw800 connection. I would love for this to be a nas.
