Apple Releases iTunes 9.1
Tuesday, March 30, 2010
Posted by: Glenn
Apple has released iTunes 9.1 via their Software Update utility and website. According to the company, this update brings several new features and improvements to the software, including the ability to do the following:
- Sync with iPad to enjoy your favorite music, movies, TV shows, books and more on the go.
- Organize and sync books you've downloaded from iBooks on iPad or added to your iTunes library.
- Rename, rearrange, or remove Genius Mixes.
iTunes 9.1 weighs in at 93.6MB and requires Mac OS X 10.4.11 or later.
Update: Apple also released iPhoto 8.1.2 this afternoon. This update addresses minor issues in the area of import and syncing to iPhone, iPod or Apple TV.

I'm getting more and more excited about iBooks. Who would have ever guessed? I was all with Steve when he said that people don't read anymore a couple years ago. _________________ 1.42GHz Mac mini

| I called it last week. I guess these updates were to be expected ahead of the iPad though. |

That was probably some wait if you did 10.6.3 at the same time.
I'm confused by something. Are you going to be able to read iBooks on your Mac through iTunes or just with an iPad? |

I don't think so. I think that's the only thing Kindle has over Apple now. They'll let you read your books anywhere and on any device. _________________ 14" 1.25GHz G4 iBook (died)

I dragged some ePub books into iTunes and they do show up, unfortunately they are all in the same section as all my audiobooks
When ctrl clicking on an e-book in iTunes it does give you the option to Play, it's not greyed out, but when you click play it just seems to ignore you and nothing happens. _________________ Phil
