| I've just gotten my new mini but when I went to install my legal copy of XP, the manual says that you must use SP2 or better. Is there a way that I can use SP 1 without having to go out and buy a new windows OS to put on the Mac? Seems nuts? |

I ran into the same thing. What you need to do is called "Slipstreaming Windows XP" which takes your XP SP1 disc and updates it with the SP2 download, into a new file that can be burned onto a new disc. Its not difficult, but it does require some work to create a slipstream disc. You can find all sorts of resources via google. Check a few sites to see who has the most detailed instructions and then follow it. I've done it, but I don't recall the website I used. _________________ iMac 24" 2.4 GHz 4GB | Logitech S530 | Z-2300 speakers | NewerTech Guardian MAXimus RAID

I think this just about covers it.
I'd use SP3 over 2 unless you have a very good reason though. |
