i strongly suggest that people who use the mac for gaming get windows xp and bootcamp... the games will just work better on the pc side... the ram cap does not exist, so you can utilize the graphics card better...

so far ive had a lot of luck with games on the pc side... i think that xp uses less ram so you can allocate more to the video card... plus you can play all those sweet non-GOTY games that your friends rave about, that you cry because no mac-ported version exists... also, pressing the apple button allows for quick game minimising, so you can look up walkthroughs without having to quit the game (i know some games you can press apple+tab or apple+M to switch out of the game, but not all games allow you to do that)

$200 and the headache of dealing with a second considerably less secure operating system AND having the reboot every time you want to play a game are all big sticking points for me.

I guess it's nice to have that option, but I can't envision ever using it, personally.

You can allocate more RAM to the video card?

(Sorry, this is my first Mac. Any info about the RAM would be welcome.)

The GMA950 allocates RAM on the fly.

In Windows it will theoretically allocate up to 224 MB, whereas in OSX it's set up to only use up to 80 MB.

That's only going to improve performance in very specialized situations though. In OSX, unless you've got 2 GB of RAM, losing 224 MB to the video card is probably going to hurt performance in most cases.
