Apple Releases Firmware Update for 2009 Wireless Keyboard

Apple has released the 2009 Aluminum Keyboard Firmware Update 1.0 via their Software Update utility and website. According to the company, this update improves the battery performance of the keyboard when used in combination with other Bluetooth devices like the Magic Mouse and Bluetooth headsets. More information on how to install this update can be found here. The 2009 Aluminum Keyboard Firmware Update 1.0 weighs in at 1.14MB are requires Mac OS X 10.5.8 or 10.6.2.

I hope Apple comes out with another one for the 2007 keyboard. I'm still seeing the same type of battery activity with the Magic Mouse after like a month.

| I haven't noticed any battery issues using mine with a RadTech mouse, but I went ahead and updated anyways. |
