Call of Duty 1.x runs on my Mini, and although visually it looks fantastic, the video performance is choppy, even at low settings. I'm going to do some tweaking to see if I can get it yo work any better.

All games tested on a 15in TFT Monitor @ 1024x768 32bit 70Hz resolution.

Diablo 2 + LoD : Game works well with some minor slowdown when there are many enemies onscreen. I find this game better played in window mode as its max 800x600 resolution looks blurry at 1024x768.

Myst V End Of Ages : All ingame details set to their lowest and this game will play adequately. Noticeable slowdown on more intricate worlds. Lowering the resolution below my 1024x768 would see some performance increase.

Dungeon Siege : All ingame effects at max. Game plays perfectly with no major slowdown. Game doesnt seem to have a refresh rate selection so it defaults to 60Hz which gives a slight blurring of texts on my TFT.

Return to Castle Wolfenstein : All details set to Max settings. Game plays perfectly with no slowdown except on large outdoor areas with complex structures.

World Of Warcraft : Game is playable with all details down to their lowest settings.

Bare in mind that with all the games ive tested above, lowering the resolution to below 1024x768 will result in performance increases.
I dont have the games set at lower resolutions simply because non-native TFT resolutions look awful.

Someone mentioned OpenTTD ... lets just say I spend way to many hours with this game full screen...

Plays very well, graphics are a bit old school, but the game play ... what fun online too. 8 way game on a smaller map using only road trucks... chaos! Smile

I have a 1.4GHz Mini with 1GB RAM and it runs Halo superbly, even at 1024x768 with moderate effects.

For instant action, download the demo @ www.unrealtournament.com

We had some people over this weekend and I downloaded the demo on all three of our minis, our iMac, and my Thinkpad laptop. Had loads of fun. There is actually a lot of functionality for a free demo. VERY nice.

Return to Castle Wolfenstein works great, Retail Version

Works alot better on Mini than it did on Flat-Panel iMac!

What type of hard drive are you running Halo from?

I have played Halo on the 1.25 mac mini and with the base 512 ram and original hd and it works just fine. the only problem is when you try to play it on a wireless network over the internet with another person on your network at the same time.

yes world of warcraft does work.

I had it running on my machine at 1280x768 with all details at their lowest settings. Although there was quite a bit of slowdown with lots of people onscreen.

You can increase the details more if you use a resolution of 1024x768.

I wouldnt bother if you dont have 1gig of memory. It might also pay to have the game installed on a faster drive than the ones normally installed in the mini.

Stock, 80GB/4,200rpm internal drive. Runs great. Runs ever better when the ATI card is overclocked slightly and no other apps are open.

I am currently playing Homeworld 2 on my MIni. I can easily fight 5 enemy fleets with virtually no slowdown whatsoever.. Smile
