I'm not a big gammer myself but I've heard so much about WoW. How does it play on the mini? Do you have to pay to play online?

It plays very well on the mini. I turn the configurable video options down, but it is very smooth.

Warning, Snood is indeed very addictive. I can't keep people off of mine because of it.

Has anyone tried Soldier of Fortune 2 (SOF2) on the mac mini? I got the 1.25GHz w/ 1GB ram and external maxtor diamond plus 9 7200RPM 200GB drive. I have been looking for that game for my mac (SOF2) and i havent found it for $20. I keep finding it for the overpriced 30-40. MY pc one was 19.95 like 6 months ago. If anyone has a working copy and doesnt want it, im willing to pay some money for it. Or if you could help me find it.

I downloaded and tried running Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory. (A free downloadable online multiplayer FPS thats recently been ported to the Mac)
Even in low gfx, I didn't find it to be playable at all. Especially when it runs fantastically on my PC.

However if you've got a G5 handy, I would check it out:

the 9200 in the mini is severely underpowered for a game like enemy territory. 32mb is way too small for all the textures in the game, and the fillrate is way too low for all the geometry.

Starcraft Broodwar.

A great game indeed. Warcraft III plays quite well also. (which is, basically, the same type of game (just updated a TON). Smile
