That's a good machine and a good price. Same model I sold to a buddy and he uses it daily. It runs much better than his newer PC.
Congrats. |

the mini keeps becoming unresponsive. it completely freezes, the mouse and keyboard are completely unresponsive. I just bought this and I'm trying to figure out what the problem may be. I'd hate to know I just wasted money on a logic board problem. _________________ 13" 2.26 Macbook Pro

Did you try doing a Clean "Erase & Install"? Do you have the Tiger Discs? Did you ask the guy you bought it from about it? _________________ iMac 27" 3.06 8GB ATI 4670 1TB HD

I did a clean install. I'm gonna try new ram. But i wasn't sure if it was a known problem. I hope its not a logic/mother board issue _________________ 13" 2.26 Macbook Pro

OK. Can you ask the guy you bought it from ? Have you tried PRAM Reset?
Just something to try.
Resetting PRAM and NVRAM
Shut down the computer.
Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command, Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
Turn on the computer.
Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys. You must press this key combination before the gray screen appears.
Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
Release the keys.
Your computer's PRAM and the NVRAM are reset to the default values. The clock settings may be reset to a default date on some models. _________________ iMac 27" 3.06 8GB ATI 4670 1TB HD

I reset the pram. It's still freezing. Tried a new memory stick and it still freezes. _________________ 13" 2.26 Macbook Pro

I can't think of anything else to try. Anyone else have a suggestion? You could bring it to an Apple Genius & ask them what they think? _________________ iMac 27" 3.06 8GB ATI 4670 1TB HD

Last thing I know is unplug everything from it. Unplug Power Cable. Wait 10 Minutes & just Plug Keyboard Mouse & Monitor. Nothing Else. Plug Power Cord into Wall. Push Power Button. _________________ iMac 27" 3.06 8GB ATI 4670 1TB HD

Nothing has worked so far. I'm guessing it's a logic board issue which is just fantastic. I'll end up spending more on a replacement than I did on the machine. _________________ 13" 2.26 Macbook Pro

I'm guessing the guy who sold it to you is not your friend & never told you about the problem. That does stink. Sorry! _________________ iMac 27" 3.06 8GB ATI 4670 1TB HD

Your Welcome. Since you installed the OS with no Problem, it's not the Hard Drive. You might start another post with the words Help! in the Title. The title of this "Finally" may not draw a lot of people. Try it! People will get on & help. _________________ iMac 27" 3.06 8GB ATI 4670 1TB HD
