I will try that procedure later. Thanks for posting!
I have a quick question though. Is your Device Manager clear of issues or missing drivers? _________________ 2009 Mac mini with 500GB/4GB

Oh okay, I'll just try that procedure later on tonight. I won't be home from work until around 7:00. I was just curious about that missing coprocessor that I had showing up before. Thanks for the speedy reply though! _________________ 2009 Mac mini with 500GB/4GB

Wow, I didn't know that was an issue with certain machines.
I knew the 64-bit kernel was a no-go with SL, but not with Windows too. It's crazy that Apple is holding back a computer with a 64-bit processor. I just don't care for that at all. Boo!
I'm glad to hear there's a workaround though. |

@TonyMontana
It worked, but I still have that missing coprocessor in Device Manager. Were you able to check yours? _________________ 2009 Mac mini with 500GB/4GB

Okay, thanks for the update. Perhaps I have a corrupt file or something missing. I'm going to try trashing the partition from the BC assistant and then reinstall W7. _________________ 2009 Mac mini with 500GB/4GB

Gator did you run full Windows updates and restart and then check for more updates? Maybe the missing driver didn't exist on the initial install. _________________ MacMini 2.0GHz C2D (2009)

There are other ways to run the x64 installers with admin rights, but they didn't work for me. The command line worked purrrrfectly. _________________ MacMini 2.0GHz C2D (2009)

@TonyMontana
I'm going to reinstall W7 in a little bit here. I was going to last night, but ran out of time.
I know that I ran Windows Update until it came up empty. I think it only had 11 important updates and 2 optional updates. The optional ones were for Broadcom wireless and something for my Dell display. I don't remember seeing anything else in the way of hardware.
I'll let you know how it turns out this time around. _________________ 2009 Mac mini with 500GB/4GB

I have to install Windows on my Mac to check for compatibility of the websites I design. This will make using Windows an easier pill to swallow.
In a related topic, does anybody know where 10.6.3 stands? 10.6.2 ruined the speed and stability gains that the original release version of Snow Leopard brought over Leopard. _________________ Debts |
