Apple Releases Security Update 2010-001

Apple has released Security Update 2010-001 for Snow Leopard and Leopard via their Software Update utility and website. According to this support document, the update is recommended for all users and improves the security of Mac OS X. It addresses issues with CoreAudio, CUPS, ImageIO, Image RAW, OpenSSL and the Flash Player plug-in. Security Update 2010-001 for Snow Leopard weighs in at 21.90MB and requires Mac OS X 10.6.2. Security Update 2010-001 for Leopard, on the other hand, weighs in at 159.58MB and requires Mac OS X 10.5.8.

| Those dang Leopard updates are always so much larger. It feels good to shed that bloat. |
