Green House Accessories for Mac Mini
Monday November 14, 2005
Green House of Japan has unveiled three new accessories for the Mac mini. The HDD is an external 3.5" USB 2.0 and FireWire hard drive enclosure. The enclosure comes in 160GB (US$158) and 250GB (US$200) models. The Speaker & USB HUB (US$83) is a stackable speaker system for the Mac mini. It features 4 USB 2.0 ports, 5W+5W of audio output, volume control, and audio out for the matching 15W Subwoofer (US$83). All three accessories will begin shipping in early December. We don't know if these accessories will be available in the United States at the present time.

Those speakers are cool.
I just hope they are shielded well. _________________ 1.25GHz Mac Mini / 1.8GHz iMac G5 / 2.0GHz C2D Mac mini (2009)

Pity they couldn't put the LEDs in the same location as on the mini.
Also particularly pleasing is that the company realised that people will recognise it is Green House kit without needing to plaster logos all over the product. Those accessories are going to look great with my Mac mini sandwiched between them |

| I'm not sure about the subwoofer and hard drive, but that little speaker with the volume control and USB ports on the front is wicked cool! |

Now if someone could figure out how to get a power button on the front to power up the Mini!! Now that would be cool! _________________ 13' Macbook 2.0ghz C2D w/2gb RAM and 120gb HD

I'm not sure how good those *Good Vibrations* will be on the hard drive. Not to mention the magnet on top of the speaker. I agree with the earlier statement that these speakers better be shielded well. _________________ 2.4GHz MacBook Pro/4GB/320GB HD

| Hmm...the only thing keeping me from doing that is because it loses a little of the "wow" mini form factor. I've have people come over and say "is that a hard drive?" or "that's it??" |

I agree. I think it takes something away from the mini when you start stacking a bunch of extra things below it. _________________ 2.4GHz MacBook Pro/4GB/320GB HD
