I know I'm psyched. I did not say before, but I addressed the email to Steve Jobs. I'm sure he never read it, but his office did & I think I alerted them to a fact that they did not know. The email was just facts. So when they called me, they were so Thankful for making them aware. I also was more than courteous & respectful to all 5 people I had spoken to at one time or another. Sometimes it pays to be nice. _________________ iMac 27" 3.06 8GB ATI 4670 1TB HD

They were probably impressed by the fact it was a letter. They probably all gathered around in a circle and hunched over it, as they opened it. |

very funny! It was an email, not a Letter! Bad choice of words, on my part. L.O.L. _________________ iMac 27" 3.06 8GB ATI 4670 1TB HD

Update: Got my 27" 3.06 ATI 4650 1TB, iMac yesterday. Idid all the Grey Bar Tests & yes, there is still a slight difference in right to Left but you know what? On this one I can't tell whatsoever in ANY app I'm using. No Flicker. No Problems! This is an incredible Screen. Almost too BiG! Almost! And so bright I have to turn it down to -4 Brightness. or I could get a Sunburn. This is the best computer I ever owned & ever used. I got wrapped up in the entire Yellow Tinge thing & good thing I did, now I have a 27" instead of a 21.5". _________________ iMac 27" 3.06 8GB ATI 4670 1TB HD

| That's awesome. I'd love to have a 27" iMac. That's going to be a great computer for 10 years. |

congratulations on the 27" upgrade Dino, nice to see you got it sorted in the end.
I wish I could upgrade my 20" iMac to a 27" Guess I'll have to settle for upgrading my second monitor for now, just wish I could find a 24" or 27" monitor which matched the look of the iMac. _________________ Phil

Dino,
I'm really happy this went well for you. You have had some hardware up's and down's the past year or two. This seems like a BIG UP!!! _________________ MacMini 2.0GHz C2D (2009)

Thanks Tony & Cypher & BanditBill. You know Tony, I think I learned a lot in my 3 little years since I got my first Mac Mini. And the reason I learned, is from you guys on this Forum & because I have the perseverance & determination to Troubleshoot until I get to the bottom of a problem, or physically drop. Whichever comes first. I've said it before & I'll say it again. I belong to several Mac Forums & this one has the most knowledgeable, patient & courteous people I have ever come across on an online Forum. I actually feel like the members here, really care about your situation. There is a very human quality to this Forum. You guys have helped me immensely. The only thing I can say about my Apple upgrade experience, is, if your nice to people & don't whine. yell, cry or disrespect them, they will sincerely, almost always, help you out. _________________ iMac 27" 3.06 8GB ATI 4670 1TB HD

Good Luck Phillip. Wow, the first on here (besides me), to go for the new iMac. If you want to put yourself through running tests on the screen, go Here!

This checks for Yellow & Dead Pixels.
But I'm sure you being the Techie you are, you don't need my help. _________________ iMac 27" 3.06 8GB ATI 4670 1TB HD

Well I only had enough $ for the Base Model. And I got IT for $1098. No Tax, Free Shipping. on Black Friday from B&H in NY. So Apple upgrading me gave me a free $600. Upgrade. Actually $500., but since I got the Black Friday Deal. I don't care what people are saying about Grey Bar Tests & the Like. These screens are gorgeous. And I thought I might hate the Glossy screen, since I'm use to Matte, but I like it better now. It certainly brings out the Brightness. So much so, that I have to keep Brightness to -4. I believe Apple says the Default is all the way up to Full. My eyes are damaged enough from looking at computer screens. Again, Good Luck. Please also post your Week Number. Mine is a Week 06 from this New Year. Week # = 4th & 5th Digit of Serial Number. I can't wait to hear your thoughts. _________________ iMac 27" 3.06 8GB ATI 4670 1TB HD

I paid about 1886 with the graphics card update and the mount system.Take off 20 percent in apple gift card discounts. So I went for 1509
I purchased four 500 dollar apple gift cards on ebay since jan 1. they were 475 each minus 10 percent for bing and 2 percent for ebucks and 2 percent for ebates and 2 percent for discover card. comes to 399 for a 500 dollar card _________________ 2010 Mm 2.4 C2D oem 320gb hdd 8gb ram
