Can I connect an Apple TV to my LCD TV with HDMI and still use the RCA stereo or digital out going into a stereo receiver? I mean, having them connected at the same time without cancelling each other out. I was thinking that I might not want to have my TV on all the time, but would still like to listen to music and internet radio.

Yes you can. I use HDMI for the TV and RCA for AirTunes for the same reason.

I do the same thing, I have the RCA outs connected to my stereo and the HDMI connected to the TV. _________________ 2.5 GHZ i5 Mac Minu 8Gb Ram

Thanks guys! I got a refurbished 40GB on the way with some Christmas money. I was hoping you could, because I don't need the TV to be on the time.
