Apple has released AirPort Client Update 2009-002 via their Software Update utility and website. According to the company, this update is recommended for all Macintosh computers running Mac OS X Snow Leopard 10.6.2 and includes fixes for the following:
- Inability to turn AirPort on or off in some cases after upgrading from Mac OS X Leopard
- An occasional loss of network connection when using Wake on Demand
- Inability to create a computer-to-computer network, or share the Internet connection on some MacBook, MacBook Pro, and Mac mini computers
The AirPort Client Update 2009-002 weighs in at 12.95MB.

Lovely. I'm so glad I just spent $160 to buy a new fancy router to "fix" the router / internet connection with my new mac mini.
Who knows. The new router works (of course all the pcs worked just fine on the old router too) but perhaps this would have solved it instead. grrrr. |

| I wouldn't mind trading my troubles for a new Airport Extreme. I could live with that. |

| I've never had one of these Airport client updates make a difference for me either way. I ended up purchasing an Airport Extreme to put an end to my wireless networking woes on the Mac side. That was the only thing in the end that helped. |

Thanks that makes me feel much better now
I don't really regret the new router. It just would have been nice to upgrade when we wanted to rather than having to, esp so soon after shelling out $$$ for the mini. But regardless, it is all good now. |

I've actually had that happen a couple times going between the Mac mini and MBP for sharing. Hope the fix works. |
