Boxee Unveiling New Boxee Beta Tonight

The team over at Boxee will be unveiling the new Boxee Beta tonight at an event in New York at 7 PM. You can watch this event live on Livestream, or with the embedded player down below. The new Boxee Beta reportedly features a completely re-designed look and feel, improved navigation, the ability to search for TV Shows and Movies on the Internet and local hard drives and/or networks, a user controlled Queue, shortcuts to all your favorites, and much more. The beta will be rolled out over the next month to select users before being released to the public on January 7th, so stay tuned for more information. I've heard it's going to be a pretty hot release.

Just watched a couple minutes of the video. I like the new user interface a lot. So when can I get my hands on it?

I wasn't so impressed with it crashing, but the new UI looks sweet. Think that I might be switching back to Boxee now.

I can't wait to get in running on the Mac mini and Zino. It looks like a major step forward for Boxee. Especially the new UI and support for DXVA when it comes to Windows.

I think it's more professional looking than Plex without that cookie cutter XBMC look, but we'll see about the rest.

Wow I too was impressed. I just fired it up along with the iphone remote app for Boxee. I might have to give this app a second look.
