I finally re downloaded the 64bits version of Handbrake along with VLC 1.0.2 (the only one 64bits) I see a gain of more or less 30 minutes. _________________ Mac Mini i5 2.5 GHZ, 16GB Ram.

I installed it and gave it a spin.
I'm really not happy with the way the new user interface is set up. Seems like it's been engineered to be much more cluttered with more windows.

I'm also not too happy with the new way the video settings work. too many floating windows IMHO.
Other than that, it's a huge update with lots and lots of features. Can't wait to do encoding comparisons with 0.9.3! _________________ Mac mini 2010 (Core 2 Duo 2.4 GHz/8 GiB)

| Handbrake seem to require VLC to work, and there is no compatible version of VLC with 64-bit Handbrake. Why advertise/post the 64-bit HB at all? Too bad I already deleted my older version of Handbrake. |

Handbrake only requires VLC to read DVDs, and for nothing else.
You could just use MakeMKV to copy the movie from the disc and then Handbrake can work off of the resultant MKV into whatever you normally have your target format in.
