Just to keep you all up to date, VirtualBox updated their software to version 3.0.10 last night. The haven't posted a list of changes yet, but I believe that one of them was a memory leak. I've updated mine, and I definitely starts up faster.
My big debate now is whether to purchase an additional copy of VMware Fusion for my MacBook Pro or stick with VB on it. I own two copies of Fusion and I upgraded one to version 3 yesterday. Because I qualify for university discount, I could upgrade both copies and buy another one for the retail price of one new copy, but VirtualBox is excellent and gives me most of what I need for the kind of use I make of it. But that drag and drop tool of Fusion is very convenient when I have to go to Windows software for a language translation and then save the translation, paste it into Word PC and drag the file across to the Mac side.
Edit: VersionTracker pulled the 3.0.10 VB update this morning and in the VB forums it was suggested that wasn't quite ready. However, they indicated it may be re-posted in a few hours. I should have guessed that something was funny when it was available on VersionTracker but not VirtualBox itself. _________________ Mini 1: 2.3 ghz Core i5; 8 gb RAM, Corsair 240gb SSD, 500 gb Seagate XT

VirtualBox 3.0.10 has apparently been fixed, as it has been reposted in VersionTracker as well as VirtualBox.org. It apparently fixes a memory leak in the previous version (among other things). _________________ Mini 1: 2.3 ghz Core i5; 8 gb RAM, Corsair 240gb SSD, 500 gb Seagate XT
