Hard to believe that Fedora has reached Version 12...
From what I have been reading in the release notes, it plans to be a much faster & responsive Operating System than in the past.
Fedora used to be sluggish because of the habit of its creators to throw virtually everything including the kitchen sink. This made it terribly slow to install & run.
Hopefully these things have been over come.
So for those wanting to venture into Fedoraland here is the link.

Enjoy

I have noted Fedora's interest in speeding up the startup sequence, but I wasn't aware that they were working on improvement the overall speed of their OS. If so, I'm glad to hear it and I'll be monitoring their reviews. I haven't tried it since Version 8, but I would try it again if I hear good things.
Have you tried the beta yet, Aqua? _________________ Mini 1: 2.3 ghz Core i5; 8 gb RAM, Corsair 240gb SSD, 500 gb Seagate XT

I'd like to, but it's not going to be possible for the moment.
I am still in the Rehab complex, and while the net connection is good, it's fairly limited in terms of downloads.
Besides which, I have no burner or spare CD's to burn it to anyway.
Cheers
Aqua
Ps : I have been using Fedora since Version 5.
Fedora used to be one of my favourite distros because of its stabilty.
But I got sick & tired of waiting for it to load up.
Hopefully (fingers crossed) they will have managed to overcome this speed hurdle.
I live in hope... _________________ Of the four X systems in the world.
