I've been playing Beatles Rock Band almost all night. It's a blast! Is anyone else here playing?
I've also been ripping the remastered CDs. I had to install Rosetta for the mini-documentaries though. That was sort of a let down with a nice clean install of Snow Kitty going.

Yes they're great, check out the promo video on the game online, it's super cool. (not the one showing the game itself), but the all animation one of the beatles career. here it is-

now just waiting for the needed remixes of much of the songs with oudated mixes. |

| Yeah, I also love the commercial with them walking across Abbey Road. It's just a great package. I've never really been into the Rock Band or Guitar Hero thing before, so this all soft of new and fun to me. I just need to get some friends and family over this weekend to play. Playing this with a group is even going to be more of a blast. |

| I really like the Beatles, but what is the deal with rosetta? I had to install it as well. Something about it working with older apple apps. Does it slow the new install down or something, or you just wanted to keep it as clean as possible? |

Rosetta is for running PPC-based applications on an Intel-based Mac. I just wanted to keep it clean as possible, but it didn't slow things down or anything.
Loving the remasters though! The early albums sound better than ever. |

I have read that the mono's sound better that the stereo versions for certain albums.. Have you found this to be true?
Here is a pretty good article.

The earlier albums catered to the more common mono format and some have a more 'solid' sound. the mid years stereo versions are novice stereo mixes when stereo was new and need a revision.
the monos have slight differences in songs too. the mono White album and Sgt Pepper are preferred by many over the stereo. I myself grew up listening in stereo so I can't quite appreciate the monos as much in the later albums.
the further needed reMIXes are rumored to have been done when the just released remasters were, but won't be released for a few years...marketing...
for a taste of Beatles remastered AND remixed, the 2007? Love CD was great. many fans hated the mashups on that album, but the complete songs sound the best I've ever heard. |

| The mono versions sound full, but flat to me. I like them in stereo better, especially when it comes to the first four. I do like the mono versions better through headphones though. Some of the panning can be annoying up that close. But either way, that's a good article Tony. It pretty much lays out the case for each set. |

I've been playing The Beatles Rock Band all weekend. I finally got my first 5 gold star rating on "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" on Expert! _________________

I'm much better at playing the real guitar and bass Socom. I'm getting better all the time though. |

Beatles Rock Band is awesome, played it at a friends house with some a big group of friends for about 4 hours straight. The drums are sweet. _________________ MacBook 1.83Ghz C2D, 2GB Ram, 160GB 7200rpm HDD, OS X 10.6.5

I've like the mono mixes. I've grabbed a lot of the recent releases. I remember, (old man, I am,) the early stereo LPs just had the vocals on one channel and the instrumental track on the other. Good for karaoke, I guess. The mono mixes are clean and sound awesome. _________________ 2.5 GHZ i5 Mac Minu 8Gb Ram
