I was sitting at my computer desk last night with a can of orange Fanta soda. I put it down on the carpet to grab some DVDs under my desk and must have forgot about. I woke up this morning and noticed that I had bumped over. Now I have an orange stain about six inches across on tan berber carpet. I went to the store pick up some Woolite carpet cleaner, but it didn't to a thing. What should I do now? I need to get this clean ASAP before someone notices. I don't want to make it any worse though. Sad

Try some Oxi Clean powder mixed with regular water in a bottle. Let it sit for around 5 minutes and then use a light colored towel to dry and blot it. Just test it on small spot somewhere else first though. Like in a closet or something.

You can also use hydrogen peroxide as a substitute for Oxiclean. You need to test on a small spot like epic_ed suggested though.

Hydrogen peroxide can bleach things permently. I'd go the oxiclean or white vinegar and baking soda route. White vinegar for 5 min and then baking soda make a paste and scrub the hell out of it with a stiff brush and plenty of water.

Normally I'd say blot, but I think after a day it needs scrubbing.

It can, but I think he should be okay with a 50/50 mix with water on nylon Berber. I wouldn't use it on wool though.

Spot shot works wonders. It has gotten out some incredible stains out for me. Follow the directions on the can to a T.

I tried some of that as well. It lifted some of the orange color, but not the entire way. I'm going to let everything dry today and try again with some Oxiclean. I think it may be stained for good now though.
