My 3rd Gen ipod nano no sync with iCal or Address book

It's a random problem really.

Sometimes it does sync , and other times it doesn't. I don't always check my contacts or iCal events but when I do it's very random when it does have it, and when it has nothing.

I updated everything.

iTunes is 9.0 , Mac OS X is 10.62 , and i have recently restored my ipod (Friday 9/11/09)

If I hit contacts on my ipod, it will say no contacts than flash and reset.

when i hit the button to sync contacts in iTunes and select iCal it says I don't have any calendars . However that's far from the truth I do have several.

The music and movie playback is fine so it's the only glitch with the ipod. Any fix ?
