| Assuming Apple comes out with a tablet, you buying one? I'm thinking no at this point, especially if it only runs the iPhone OS. I would probably be happier with a touchscreen netbook running Windows 7. As long as it's ION powered. I just want a full operating system. Not something that's dumbed down and linked to iTunes like the iPhone and Apple TV. |

I would rather put the money towards a 13" MacBook Pro. _________________ 1.25GHz Mac Mini / 1.8GHz iMac G5 / 2.0GHz C2D Mac mini (2009)

I would be tempted, but then with a MacBook and my iPhone I think something in between would be over kill for me. _________________ MacBook 1.83Ghz C2D, 2GB Ram, 160GB 7200rpm HDD, OS X 10.6.5

I'd rather have a hackintosh netbook dual booted to win7. _________________ MacMini 2.0GHz C2D (2009)

I would get an Apple Tablet soon after the release date if it's like a netbook, and doesn't cost over $800. ...and if they avoid using the Atom Processor, or at least use the 1.8GHz version.
The other extreme would be if it's designed as a full-out tablet, like let's say the specs of the low-end MacBook or even MacBook Air and has a full keyboard as well, lightweight, so on, than I might consider selling my MacBook Pro on Ebay to get one.
If it ends up looking like an oversized iPhone, than I don't want one at all. |

Depends on several factors.
I don't have a MacBook as I don't need one, and can't afford one. So price and need are the key factors for me.
If it was a bigger Newton, with OS X that would be great and I might consider it, but otherwise - most likely not.

| Nope. I think it will be hot at first, but then bomb over time like the Apple TV. Tablets are just awkward to hold and use. A laptop or netbook like this is way more practical. |

| I just hope Apple is doing some serious market research. I don't know anyone that wants an oversized iPhone for $800 bucks. I certainly don't want anything to do with one. |

No, I will not buy one. I don't think Apple will produce one either.
Tablets and touch computers have been out for ages and they are a very small niche market. Sure Apple could do one better, but even if it was incredible, I think it would have a very small degree of success.
Rumors about an Apple tablet have been floating around for years. It seems that the more a rumor circulate and recirculates the more people believe it to be true. I'll believe it when I see it.
Unless Apple reinvents the tablet and converts my way of thinking about tablets, I don't want one. I've had Panasonic touch screen laptops and supported touch screen computers for years. I really don't like them. Even running the exact same applications (designed for touch screens). I still like using a traditional keyboard and mouse.
Honestly what do you think you could do better with a touch screen device? Do you really need one, or would it just be sort of cool? Believe me, the novelty wears off really quick. |

Absolutely nothing. I feel exactly the same way when it comes to a tablet. A small device like the iPhone, on the other hand, is another question. It's perfect. But like I said before, I'm sure an Apple tablet will be trendy at first and then die off. Pretty much like the MacBook Air and Apple TV. I feel like those products are pretty dead in the water at this point. At least in their current configurations. |

| I'm not interested in buying a flat tablet from Apple, or anyone else for that matter. I would be interested in buying a swivel hybrid though. Something like the HP TouchSmart tx2z, but with Apple styling and the ability to run multiple operating systems with Fusion. |

| I probably wouldn't, since I don't use a laptop either. For my mobile needs the iPhone is good. I think it needs some killer app or feature to be much of a success. It can't be seen as a laptop. I think it will be marketed like a large Touch for games, apps, and AV, it'll probably be cool to use and look at anyway. This itunes album feature mentioned ain't enough. I hope they can keep it to $600 tho. won't sell much over that. |

| It would need something killer for me to bite. I know games or new iTunes books aren't enough. I think iPhone type games on a 10" tablet would be really goofy anyways. |
