The Perian team has announced the release of Perian 1.1.4, a major update to their QuickTime component that adds native support for many popular video formats. According to the release notes, this update includes the following fixes and improvements:

I'm always happy to see a Perian update pop up. You gotta like some of those audio and MKV fixes this time around.
