I think I just got a great deal for an iMac G4 700mhz with Tiger, 768mb, 80gb drive, cd-rw/dvd drive and airport wireless card. I believe it's a 15" screen, that is free floating type (adjustable). It also came with the wired Apple keyboard and mouse. All for $75.
I feel like a kid running wild in a candy store. It also have some nice Mac software included. _________________ G4 Mac Mini | 1.25ghz | 1gb | 40gb | OS X 10.4.11 | 37" Westinghouse HDTV

| Code: | | 512MB PC-133 SO DIMM for iMac G4 700MHz, 800MHz |
Isn't that laptop size memory? It sure is expensive.
Also, how do I get the cd drive door open ? _________________ G4 Mac Mini | 1.25ghz | 1gb | 40gb | OS X 10.4.11 | 37" Westinghouse HDTV

I believe the G4 iMac was a little odd and used a regular DIMM and a SO DIMM, as odd as that sounds. One was easy to get to and the other required more work too I believe. _________________ "You must control your future by taking command of your present, and fixing and learning from your past."

Congrats Dawg! That's still my favorite iMac of all-time. In fact, I thought it was so revolutionary at the time. I didn't even have the heart to break open my copy of Macworld that month. Guess I have a collector's item of sorts now.
I would love to take a look in there, but I don't have the heart now either. |

It's up there for me too, I've always loved that design.
The more I think about it, I think that iMac is the reason I got interested in Macs |

The closest we ever really got to a headless iMac. I almost bought a used 17" before getting the G5. _________________ 1.25GHz Mac Mini / 1.8GHz iMac G5 / 2.0GHz C2D Mac mini (2009)

Yea, I'm picking one up tomorrow. It is said to be missing the hd. So questions is now, which OS can I load it up with? 10.5? 10.4?
I don't know the spec on the system. But I'm hopefully that they didn't trash it to the point where it is not possible to put it back together simply by back tracking the steps to take it apart. |

P.s
Watchout!!!
Certain sellers of macintosh computers online have been loading machines with illegal software so make sure your mac is coming with the disk's if not most likely the software is counterfeit.
Why is this so important??
Adobe's software dial's home to check software if not legal they will sue.
Office dial's home as well if your serial number is bad and you install a update your office will be locked out.
What type of software is coming on it??? |

I always format any drive in a computer that I get. I don't want any crap malware tracking me, or any crap that phones home.
