I've got a friend that has a Alesis QS8.1 keyboard. He currently uses a proprietary PCI card in his PC (drivers only exist for Win98, so he is looking for a new solution).

He like the functionality of GarageBand (he currently uses Cakewalk on his PC), but needs the appropriate hardware to capture the ADAT digital audio and MIDI signals on (potentially) a Mac mini.

What would be a good, low-cost, solution for him??
