Ecamm announced that it has begun shipping their BT-1 Bluetooth wireless webcam. The new webcam for Mac users integrates advanced technologies that allow video and sound to be sent through the air to Macs with Bluetooth 2.0+EDR. The BT-1 streams 640x480 H.264 video and ACC audio to video applications such as iChat and Skype, taking full advantage of Mac OS X Leopard's rich media capabilities. It also comes with a mini-tripod and features a rechargeable battery that provides up to four hours of talk time. The BT-1 wireless webcam from Ecamm is priced at $149.

Looks like a quality product and seems like a novel idea, but I'm not sure it will do very well at $149.
Unless you need some sort of spy camera I don't know why you'd want to go wireless. That being said, I never though that I'd need a wireless keyboard or mouse. After owning both for a while now, I'd never go back to wired. I don't have to charge them every 4 hours though |

It's pricey, but the BT1 sounds like a nice camera. You mention using it as a spy or security camera Bandit Bill. What software would you use for doing that? _________________ 1.66GHz, 1.83GHz and 2.0GHz Mac minis

Okay, but you could always tell me and then kill me.
Oh well, I guess you could always set up the webcam in iChat and then connect with a different account. _________________ 1.66GHz, 1.83GHz and 2.0GHz Mac minis
