I think it feels much slower than the beta version. I tried resetting Safari and clearing the cache, but it didn't make a difference. |

It feels fast, but I don't understand why they switched the tabs back. Why did they even waste our time? Oh well, I guess there's a reason to bring Chrome to the Mac again. _________________ 1.42GHz Mac mini

| It feels weird having the tabs on the bottom again. I wish they were back on top of the window. They looked great up there and saved so much space. Personally, I don't care for the new RSS button or loading bar either. I was also hoping to get a true refresh button back on the toolbar. So needless to say, I am very disappointed with this release. |

Most people complained, including myself, about the tabs on top when Safari 4 came out. Now we want them back in the worst way. We probably should have kept our mouths shut. |

| I love the cover flow "history" very cool. I still don't care for the cover flow bookmarks though. Maybe in time, but I don't see any need with Top Sites. |

It would have to come in the form of a hack or something. If you happen to find a way, let me know. |
This is the app that supported 4 Beta. Keep an eye on it for an update.

| Do you guys notice Safari 4 hanging on embedded flash content or ads on a webpage? It seems to be slowing me down some. This also keeps the "loading bar" from disappearing as fast. |

I heard so many negative things about the beta, that I did not want to download it either, I'm glad I waited, this is a better Safari expirience, I even installed it on my trusted Powerbook 12", 1.33. _________________ ___________________Jim©

Anyone notice intermittent delayed text entry? Seems like when I'm entering text on a website, such as this one on 123MM, the last key press is delayed. So for example, I write "Hello", I end up with "Hell" and the 'o' will not appear until the next key is pressed. I only started noticing that towards the end of the beta, and I'm surprised to see it back in the final release. Makes me wonder if its an issue with my machine. _________________ Mercury TiBook 400MHz, 1GB RAM, 120GB HD, Airport

Finally felt it was safe enough to update to 10.5.7 allowing me to update to Safari 4. I am really liking it! So much, in fact, that I am now using it as my default browser. The only thing I'm missing from FireFox is the developer's toolbar.
One question:
After reading everyone's complaints of the tabs being on the bottom, I am a little confused. My tabs are on the top, as they have always been. Am I missing something here? |

The tabs were actually in the title bar of the beta. |
