I'm sure you can still pay $20 for a QuickTimeX Pro license!

I think it's going to be hard charging $20-$30 for almost the same price as the entire ball of wax. Apple should just let it go and make QuickTime X the same as the pro version. It's long overdue anyways. |

| I am totally excited about Snow Leopard now. I didn't expect to see all the new features or "refinements" as they say. The new Expose features alone look handy. September can't come soon enough for me. |

I enjoyed watching the demos of Snow Leopard in action from the keynote. I really only have one question now. What are you guys going to do with the extra 6GB of space on your hard drive? |

However, since my Core 2 Duo Mac mini and 12" PowerBook are both running fine... no point in upgrading. The hardware I mean. I'm upgrading to Snow Leopard as soon as it comes out. |
Same here, though, still owning a Powerbook G4 it's a pity I can't make THAT faster...(maxed out memory and 7200 rpm drive already) _________________ ___________________Jim©

I understand, but it's still a boxed version of their latest and greatest operating system. The next version would have to include a substantial list of new features to justify the differnce in price. And like I said before, keeping the price low also puts more pressure on Microsoft. Now, I don't think that 10.7 will necessarily cost $29, but it could be more in line with the price of iLife or iWork. I just think the days of $129 may be over. |

| I dare Microsoft to match this price for Windows 7 Home Premium to Vista users. |

i'm guessing apple saw the economy tank last year and made a smart decision to release 10.6 lite and charge a minimal price to existing leopard users.
Again it is not availble even for $129 to Tiger users...you must bundle it into a $169 package. So I would assume 10.7 would be back in the $100 arena. |

That isn't good enough. They should be giving away Windows 7 with a Zune HD for free to anyone that forked out their hard earned cash to buy Vista. Steve Balmer should also hand deliver this new stuff and offer up an apology. _________________ 1.42GHz Mac mini

It wouldn't be the first time.
Have they said anything about the Pro version yet? |
