Doh! I totally missed that at first. It was right in front of my face.
By the way, I think they changed up the Help section with the first update. I didn't see all those videos in there before. |

You could add it as an application for Plex. Not the smoothest way to go, but...

I tried this myself, but there appears to be a remote conflict with Plex once you load the Hulu Desktop. The remote basically goes dead. In fact, you get the same type of warning that was talked about on the Boxee blog. Do you happen to know of a workaround?

The reason I bought a Mini was because I wanted to consolidate. People don't want more set-top boxes. Many already have one for cable or satellite, one for DVD/Blue Ray, a Radio/Receiver, etc. I personally want integration.
I want my mini to be my DVD player; to be my Internet streaming device; to be my interface into my collection of digital movie collection; to be my interface for showing pictures on my TV; to be my interface for playing my iTunes library. It would be really nice if Hulu made a Plex/Boxxee plugin themselves so it's officially sanctioned and they gain the control they'd like.
Hulu Desktop is just another point product in my opinion. No matter how slick, it does only one thing. |

I think the original Plex still works. Sometimes I get fed up with how complex Plex has become in the last few versions, so I reinstall 0.7.12, and Hulu mostly works in that one.

I think Hulu is coming to Australia, Canada and UK this year. I don't know what programing they'll carry in each country though.

I actually think Plex has gotten better in that department with the last few releases. There's nothing wrong with keeping it around though. |

Out of curiosity, for those of you who have the Hulu app running smoothly - what specs do you have on your mini?
My Mini stutters quite a bit using the app - I have a 1.5GHz Solo w/ 2 GB RAM. I can watch DVD rips just fine but it's frustrating to have this awesome app so choppy. |

They say you need at least a 2.0GHz C2D, but my Mac mini with a 1.66GHz CD hangs in there just fine. I just doubt your CS is up to the task. That's more than likely the problem. |

My 1.5GHz G4 stutters also, but I still haven't installed the preferred version of Flash yet.

I just noticed that Rowmote added a launcher and support for the Hulu Dekstop. _________________ 1.42GHz Mac mini
