I picked up a hacked Xbox on Craigslist that had emulators for all the older games (Atari, Intellivision, Colecovision, NES, SNES, N64, Genesis, Saturn, Gameboy, PS1, Commodore 64...maybe some others, too) and a bunch of games loaded. I have a Wii and a Xbox 360 and still find myself playing the older games 90% of the time.
It's funny how low-tech those older games were. I think the whole Atari 2600 catalog (including the 3rd party stuff, like Activision) is less than 1 megabyte (maybe an exaggeration, but you know what I mean).
Herzog Zwei on Genesis is still the best game I ever played. Go, go retro! |

The PS3. That being said, I mostly use it for Blu-ray playback. _________________ 1.42GHz Mac mini

The PS3 ...it seems to have more potential and a brighter future than the XBOX ...although that might change with Microsofts NATAL technology.
I had the Wii, I hated that little system. It's fun, specially for parties or when others visit, but I'm big on graphics, and just couldn't stand the Wii's non-HD graphics. |

Blu-ray goes a long way, but I really like some of the announcements Microsoft made at E3. Even little things like Facebook and Last.fm should make the 360 more enjoyable. |

| The Wii is fun for parties and stuff, but I like kicking back with the Xbox 360 for serious gaming. Playing some of those Wii games can also be tiring. I also happen to love the controller for the Xbox 360. It feels great in my hands. |

| I was given a PS3 this past Christmas. It is a great console although I don't have any experience with any others. My daughter likes having Netflix streaming through it and so its hard to get on it to play a game when I want to. |
