| Hi, This is a suggestion for the forum from a new mac mini user and a new 123macmini member. Since most forums here have a long list of topics, it would be more effective and convenient for all members (and admins) to find a "search topic" tool on each page of the Forums area. So anyone can quickly find the previously discussed topics for answer or opinion before rushing to create a new topic which is actually old and repeated. Thanks for consideration. |

I think what you are asking for already exists.
http://www.123macmini.com/forums/search.php
There are a number of filters available in the drop down menus.
I think a bigger issue is using a descriptive title for the topic.
ie. please help!!!
isn't particularly useful. It makes it difficult to search the topic, it leads to repeat topics, it also promotes off topic discussion. |

Hi Bill,
I got it. But it is way too heavy search tool. My original thought was to put a small search window on every page. There is no need to use such a complex and time consuming search tool for a quick scan on the old topic list. Usually the lame topic lines like "please help" are not the one that search users are looking for anyway. Thanks. |
