You could always beam on over captain.
Count me in the crowd of wanting a refurb after Snow Leopard comes out. |

LOL! I'm still happy with my "old" Intel mini, it still doesn't feel inadequate. I don't count out a 'real computer' in the future though. Like a (smaller) PC with the Efix stick, because of easy upgradebility and less cable- and other stuff on my desktop! BTW: installed at friends 2 PC's with latest Ubuntu and am really amazed how easy it is getting! Still not OSX but very usable, just like the Eeebuntu on my Eee 901 netbook! _________________ ___________________Jim©

So, my 2.0 shipped today...from Middletown, PA. Has anyone elses shipped yet? If so, where from? This is the first time I've seen a refurb not ship from NorCal. _________________ Mercury TiBook 400MHz, 1GB RAM, 120GB HD, Airport

I didn't even know Apple had a presence in PA. I always thought that Apple was in California - Cupertino and Elk Grove (and Fremont in the 1980s), Texas - Austin, Ireland - Cork, and Singapore. There's also a call center in Canada and one in India (Bangalore, I believe). I've also received shipments directly from the various factories in China.
PA is a new one to me. |

I'm like 99.9 percent sure my refurbished 802.11n AirPort Express shipped out from PA a couple months ago. Maybe it's a new location or depot for refurbished products on the east coast. If they are sold out here, they get filled from over there. _________________ 1.42GHz Mac mini

They have a warehouse there. What is shipped from there seems inconsistent. Maybe that is their 'back up' warehouse or something. Apple is in more locations than that, but you're right, those are/were some of their main locations. I drive by that old Mac plant here in Fremont almost everyday. I can still see the Apple touches in that building almost 20 years later. _________________ Mercury TiBook 400MHz, 1GB RAM, 120GB HD, Airport

My orders coming to Virginia have always come from either China, California or Pennsylvania. _________________ 1.25GHz Mac Mini / 1.8GHz iMac G5 / 2.0GHz C2D Mac mini (2009)

Received today in a cute little white box that doesn't have an Apple on it - surprisingly. Hes now sporting a 320GB WD drive and 4GB Ram - all for about $580. Not a bad deal at all me thinks. _________________ Mercury TiBook 400MHz, 1GB RAM, 120GB HD, Airport

I want one really bad, but I'll probably wait around for Snow Leopard. My Mac mini doesn't feel terribly underpowered at this point. It's also stable as a rock. Short of the hard drive or power supply failing, I have a feeling these things will keep on going and going and going for many years. You gotta like that no matter which Mac mini you have. |

| My refurb came earlier in the week. I have mine going with a 47" Sharp LCD and Plex. It's totally awesome! Now, I want to buy a Drobo or something for storing and backing up all of my movies and music. |
