That did the trick for me. Thanks! |

I got this message instead.
Have any of you guys seen that one before? |
All went well on my Mac Mini, but my iMac got this.
I just closed the installer, restarted it, had it look for updates again, and after that it downloaded ok and installed perfectly.
As with TonyMontana's post on Tuesday updates, perhaps Apple is trying to be like Microsoft? ...Tueday is there day if I'm not mistaken |

I tried repairing the disk permissions and got a rather large list of Front Row, iTunes and iPhoto repairs, but no dice on getting past that message. |

| No problems updating the Mac mini, but I'm getting the same digital signature warning on my MacBook Pro. It looks like Apple messed up somewhere here. |

Yeah, it appears to be working with Windows 7 now. I totally forgot about that missing until you brought it up. |

Aqua did you try the Combo update direct from Apple? I usually bypass the software update app and go direct to the source on these larger upgrades. _________________ MacMini 2.0GHz C2D (2009)

I just started to download the monster (make that Combo). I just hate when you can't get something working like it should. It makes you think something else is wrong. |

Aqua, did you resolve this? It seems that this update is not playing well with external USB devices in some cases. The Apple and MacRumor boards are littered with people having problems with this update. Try unplugging all external USB devices except the keyboard and mouse and installing the combo directly from Apple. Skip the Software Update app.
The "repair permissions" after this update seems to have a crap ton of "frontrow " messages in it for some reason. _________________ MacMini 2.0GHz C2D (2009)

Worked fine with my G4 Mac mini and G5 iMac through Software Update. The new Mac mini (2009), on the other hand, won't update. I'm going to try the Combo later today.

I noticed the same thing. I have differs up the wazoo with Front Row and iPhoto that don't seem to get repaired. _________________ 1.25GHz Mac Mini / 1.8GHz iMac G5 / 2.0GHz C2D Mac mini (2009)

It's weird huh? I'm not too worried about it until I have problems. I thought it was alarming watching it scroll by. _________________ MacMini 2.0GHz C2D (2009)

I upgraded a G4 mini, an Intel mini, a G4 Cube and an Intel iMac last night and this morning with a combo updater. (I never use Software Update to install a system update.) All went well, other than the G4 mini needing a hard shut off and restart. I just checked the disk permissions on my iMac and got much the same as TonyMontana and aquaman reported.
I don't notice any performance differences since the update, but I read two accounts of improved xbench scores after the update (including philiparcario's on this site). _________________ Mini 1: 2.3 ghz Core i5; 8 gb RAM, Corsair 240gb SSD, 500 gb Seagate XT

I might just be lucky, but everything seems to be working fine for me. I was worried at first though. I couldn't get my EyeTV 250+ tuner working. Then I realized that I forgot to plug it back in the other day. _________________ 2011 Mac mini with 8GB of RAM

| I was able to update to 10.5.7 with Software Update, but now my Software Update button is grayed out in About This Mac. Is that the definition of ironic or what? If anyone hears of a fix, please let me know. |
